Riku is taken from Destiny Islands, of a slightly different timeline than Ri and Sora in the DR. His arrival is greeted by not a teenage Rikka, but a baby version of his son. It wasn't him that fathered the baby this time, but Ri. While he misses the children they had back on Destiny Islands, he's grateful for every moment he gets to share with the younger versions of them that are in the DR.
